GUWAYU: For All Time – On Now at Murrook Culture Centre
Murrook Culture Centre is proud to present GUWAYU: For All Time, a powerful exhibition running from 9 March – 30 June 2025.
Curated by Wiradjuri woman Aleshia Lonsdale, this powerful exhibition brings together works from some of Australia’s most renowned First Nations artists, including Nicole Chaffey, Jo Clancy, Lorraine Connelly-Northey, Karla Dickens, Blak Douglas, Fiona Foley, Maddison Gibbs, Aleshia Lonsdale, Vincent Namatjira, Joel Sherwood Spring, Jason Wing and Judy Watson. Tony Albert, Amala Groom, Alair Pambegan, Juanita MacLaughlan and Danie Mellor.
More than an exhibition, Guwayu is a shared space for reflection, story, and connection. The artworks explore themes of dispossession, activism, resistance, and cultural continuity - revealing how past, present, and future are deeply interwoven.
Each piece is a moment of truth, rich with layers of meaning in its textures, patterns, and forms. These stories are alive - echoes of the past grounding us in the present, and guiding us toward a future shaped by strength, culture and resilience.
If you haven’t experienced Guwayu yet, this exhibition is not to be missed. Come and walk through the gallery, listen deeply, and let the stories speak.
GUWAYU: For All Time is on now for a limited time at Murrook Culture Centre.
