Youyoong AECG ‘Deadly Awards’ 2025

On Thursday evening, Murrook Culture Centre was bursting with energy and excitement as we proudly hosted the Youyoong AECG ‘Deadly Awards’ 2025.

It was incredible to see our conference centre packed to the rafters, with more than 400 teachers, students and community members coming together to celebrate high achievement within the Department of Education sector. The atmosphere was filled with pride, laughter and applause as each award recipient was recognised for their dedication and success.

Murrook was purposely built for moments just like this - to bring our community together and create a space for connection, learning and celebration.

Guests were treated to a delicious sausage sizzle from our brand-new catering van, generously donated to Murrook and sponsored by AECG NSW (a huge thank you!). The new setup made it easy to feed hundreds of hungry mouths throughout the evening.

The Deadly Awards ceremony itself was a huge success, featuring live music, dance and plenty of smiles. The joy and energy in the room were truly contagious, reflecting the strength, talent and unity of our local community.

A massive congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients – your hard work and spirit continue to inspire us all.
